Welcome
I’ve spent most of my life on the sidelines — as a coach, a dad, and someone trying to figure out what it really means to show up for others. Over the past 30 years, I’ve coached youth athletes, led one of Oregon’s largest soccer clubs, and been lucky enough to walk alongside thousands of families. Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t just teaching kids how to compete. I was learning how to connect.
My journey started as a kid with a father who believed in structure, discipline, and results, but struggled to express connection, emotion, or belief. The messages I received growing up, about self-worth and acceptance, were often tied to performance. For a long time, I carried those messages without realizing how profoundly they had shaped me.
